Certified Safety Specialist (CSS) Certification
The criteria for designation as a Certified Safety Specialist (CSS) are extremely high. Applicants must have a degree and at least three years of professional safety experience.

CSS Blue Print contains four (9) domains
- Law and ethics – 8%
- Ergonomics and hygiene – 10%
- Safety fundamentals – 22%
- Management systems – 20%
- Fire and emergency management – 9%

- Communication & training – 8%
- Audit and inspection – 7%
- Environmental management system – 7%
Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants for CSS certification must meet one of the following two options:
Option 1: Accredited master / bachelor degree in any subject and at least three years of professional safety experience in any industry where safety is atleast 50%, preventative, professional level with breadth and depth of health and safety duties.
Option 2: Associate diploma in HSE or closely related field and at least four years of professional safety experience in any industry where safety is atleast 50%, preventative, professional level with breadth and depth of health and safety duties.

Through any AOSH UK Approved Testing Partner (ATP)
Examination Method & Format:
The examination consist of 200 multiple choice questions by computer base test (CBT) and 5 hours to complete the examination.
